As Hebrews comes to a close, the author encourages the reader to remember God and to remember other people.
The second half of Hebrews 12 focuses on remembering God. The emphasis is on the awe and power of God.
Interestingly, the author analogizes the kingdom to the time at Mount Zion with all its fire and thunder where even Moses said, "I am trembling."
The author states we have arrived at a heavenly Mount Zion.
Honestly, I find it a confusing analogy to use, but I think the author is trying to give a sense of awe and power of God, by linking it to the initial trembling of the Israelites.
He is not exactly saying, "if you go against God, you will be damned". But it does kind of feel like a subtle message, but more directly, it seems to warn the reader not to go against God.
